Join the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise
Membership of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise is open to all persons, engaged in trading, commercial and industrial activity in Malta.

The main role of the Chamber is to make active representations on behalf of its members with Government and others on all matters affecting business. The Chamber offers members the benefit of over 150 years of experience, the support of 1,000 members and a permanent staff dedicated to the needs of its members. Members of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise do not stand alone. They make their voice heard in the right quarters.

The Chamber provides members with a variety of services: including information on legislation, taxes, customs, trade enquiries, statistics, a business education programme and more. Regular activities are organised including Information Meetings, Seminars, Conferences as well as social activities all providing members with good networking opportunities. In addition, the Chamber has an EU Help Desk to service all relative enquiries from members.

Members receive three Chamber publications:
  • The weekly Business News and Opportunities which includes vital business information as well as trade enquiries received from overseas;
  • The monthly Commercial Courier magazine with articles on current affairs;
  • The annual Malta Trade Directory giving detailed information on members of the Chamber and the services they provide as well as other essential data.

    There are four types of Membership designed to suit the various requirements of the business community.
  • Individual Members
    Any person with business interests in Malta may become a member of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise. This type of membership is individual and non-transferable. Persons opting for this type of membership enjoy the various services offered by the Chamber at specially discounted rates. They may also be directly involved in the Chamber's decision making process by standing for election to the Chamber’s Council and/or being involved in various Committees and Commissions. Individual members have full voting rights.

    Life Membership
    Council admits as life members, persons who have been members of the Chamber for at least thirty (30) years. Life members have the same rights as members of the Chamber and enjoy the advantage of a discounted membership fee. There is no admission fee.

    Corporate Membership
    Corporate Membership is applicable to any company, group of companies or partnership registered in terms of the Companies Act 1995, and any association, organisation or body of persons registered in Malta and engaged in commercial or industrial activity in or from Malta. A Corporate Member nominates its representatives as members of the Chamber on the basis of the total number of persons employed by the Corporate Member at the time of application for membership in accordance with the following table:

    Nominated persons enjoy the same level of participation as Individual Members whilst the Corporation may make full use of the services provided by the Chamber at discounted rates.

    Associate Members
    Associate Membership is recommended for persons who, although not directly involved or active in the business community wish to remain in contact with the Chamber and its activities.

    Associate members do not enjoy voting rights, but are entitled to privileges approved by the Council from time to time. Associate Members pay a reduced subscription but no admission fee.

    Fees
    Members pay an admission fee and an annual subscription as determined by the Council from time to time.
